Welcome, and congratulations on wanting to learn something new - or in wanting to top up your already existing skills! I am Captain OldBlue, the Captain and Administrator of the site, and I am going to take you on a journey of learning and of fun that will help you become a video game developer!
Using 3ds Max, Blender, Quixel Suite and Unreal Engine 4, all of which can be obtained for free and legally for learners like yourselves (for learning purposes ONLY), you will use industry standard tools and methodologies created to streamline builds by myself and other professionals out there.

If you would like to skip ahead then please read the module lesson description to get an idea of what it contains however suggest watching each lesson so that you do not miss any important steps!
Initial beginning modules are short and easy however the difficulty and langth will slowly ramp up. Expect easy lesson to be about 2-6 minutes while standard lessons wil be about 20 minutes long.
I suggest that you either watch the lessons on a second monitor if you have one or watch using a tablet or laptop while you work on your main computer. Don't panic. Get yourself a coffee. Relax. You are now a member of the CGPirates Scurvy Crew and we love you!

In season two you are going to learn how to make your first FULL and COMPLETE video game! Thirteen modules make up season two of the LEARN@HOME project, and by the end of the thirteen short parts, you will have a complete game that you can share and show other people!
